IIT Business School

I am proud to be a part of the Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT) team after a long run of service to the state higher education system in the country in various capacities. I am aware of the need for alternative higher education providers to fulfill the educational aspirations of the youth of this country as all qualified students from the school education cannot be absorbed into the state universities. IIT is one of the best options available in this respect in the country. Over thirty long years of its existence, IIT has developed its expertise in two important disciplines: Computing and Business, with its British partners.

The Business School at IIT offers courses in two disciplines – Technology of Business, and Business Management, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At the undergraduate level, we offer three degrees; Business Information System (BIS), Business Data Analytics (BDA), and Business Management (BM) with three specializations (Marketing, Entrepreneurship,and Digital Business). We have two distinguished Master’s degrees in Business Analytics and Fashion Business Management. All our degree programmes are quality assured by the respective quality assurance agencies in the UK and Scotland.

Our syllabuses are constantly updated with our partner universities – the University of Westminster, UK, and the Robert Gordon University, Scotland. IIT runs one of the most successful Foundation Programmes in the country under the Faculty of Business. The Foundation programme gives an opportunity to those who have completed their O/L exam to join an intended degree programme after specialized training of two semesters (One year) in the relevant discipline. This programme gives an opportunity to those who have not been very successful in their A/L exam to resurrect their education and complete a degree. One notable advantage of the IIT education is the full one-year industrial training provided to its undergraduates as a part of the degree programme. By the time of graduation, all our students become industry-ready graduates.

Our experience proves that business graduates produced by the IIT are absorbed by the high-profile corporates in the country. IIT is not a place that only concentrates on academic excellence.
